The Winter Chamber Music Workshop, offered annually by the Chamber Music Society of Sacramento, provides a comprehensive chamber music experience for young musicians. Participants work closely with professional musicians in performances, individual, and ensemble coaching sessions, and rehearsals. The workshop is designed to provide insight into practice and rehearsal techniques essential for musical growth and confidence in performance. Young talented musicians will be exposed to the exquisite beauty of the chamber music repertoire, thus providing enhanced motivation and enthusiasm for their private instruction.

The Dalcroze Method is based on the principle that people of all ages find music easier to understand when they feel it with their bodies. This emphasis on movement (eurhythmics), combined with ear training and improvisation, leads to confident and joy-filled musicianship, with total involvement of the mind and the body. The concepts of rhythm, tempo, dynamics, phrasing, meter, pitch, accent and pattern are presented through special games, encouraging the students to react freely with individual expression.
