Robert Schwartz holds a Bachelor of Degree from Indiana University, a Master Degree from Juilliard and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Mr. Schwartz is a very active concert pianist in the U.S. and abroad in recent seasons. He is also one of the most respected piano teachers. He was a recent guest teacher at the Young International Pianist Festival in Vienna. And this summer he had given a Master Class at the Central Conservatory in Beijing. Please see the attached Bio.

The Stone-Zimmermann Duo is committed to performing both classical and contemporary masterpieces for violin and piano. Together, these European-born musicians create innovative programs that enthrall audiences of all ages.

Though both are now San Francisco residents, German violinist Iris Stone has won national competitions and performed at leading concert halls across Europe and in Asia and America, recently playing and recording with the Berlin Philharmonic, while Swiss pianist Eva-Maria Zimmermann has been lauded in her homeland as "brilliant and sensitive" (Berner Oberlander) and "breathtakingly intense" (Der Bund). As the Stone-Zimmermann Duo, they have been captivating audiences with their blend of superb musicianship, ravishing sound and profound interpretations. Their program features the World Premiere of Seeing Things by Kurt Rohde.

Franz Liszt Birthday Gala concert at Old First Church

MTAC-SF members Monica Lee, Thomas Schultz, Robert Schwartz, and William Wellborn join 13 other noted musicians from the Bay Area unite to celebrate Franz Liszt's birthday with a feast of keyboard virtuosity and romantic expression.
The program features some of Liszt's brilliant transcriptions of works by Mozart, Schumann, and Bach, along with selections from the "Years of Pilgrimage," and popular favorites such as the Mephisto Waltz #1 and the Consolation #3. Soprano Rebecca Plack, the winner of the vocal division of the Los Angeles Liszt Competition, will offer a selection of some of lesser-known Liszt's German Lieder.
Also, in observance of the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian revolution (October 23, 1956), a special portion of the program will be devoted to works by Liszt of Hungarian inspiration--the Hungarian Rhapsodies #11 and 12, the Funerailles, and the rousing Rakoczy March.

I am again offering a set of papers that have all the requirements for Certificate of Merit in an easy chart form so that you can keep track of each student's assignments individually without having to refer to the syllabus constantly. This includes a chart from Levels Preparatory to Level IX, with not only the technique requirements, but also the other elements such as signs, terms, etc. Each teacher that orders a set can copy it as many times as they need for each student.
