GREETINGS!
Dear Members,
Our branch has a proud history of activities involving our teacher members and their students. In order to continue to offer these activities, we need all members to be involved, or as many members as possible.
Our branch has different strengths within our membership. And at this time, these strengths are barely being used. In reality, a small handful of people in our branch run all of our activities. This situation cannot be allowed to continue. In some ways, this situation has cast doubts about the future of these activities.
To remedy the situation, the MTAC-SF board of directors has made a list of committees that will utilize the strengths of our branch membership. Each committee will have enough members to evenly share responsibilities.
Listed are the proposed committees.
If you have an attachment regarding your committee assignment, please fill out the form indicating your agreement to your assignment. If not, please indicate your alternative choice from the list above.
| Recap about the Holiday Party |
We would like to thank again all those who participated at the Holiday Party, and contributed to the wonderful food. The party gave us a wonderful opportunity to get a chance to know one another and play for each other. Keiko Banks and Esther Chan played up a storm of Schubert duets. Scott played some great Poulenc pieces, and Esther Chan and Marina Lynn did a wonderful job accompanying Wei Wei Liu as she sang a few songs. Phyllis Pan and Jane Hung also shared singing a few Italian arias. Some other members who joined us in the festivities were Shari Levinger, and Carol Ferando. It was also great to have Dr. Christine Yu to join us, who just recently received her Doctorate of Music from USC..
In the end, we all had a great time. For those who came, we forward getting together again for the holidays. For those who didn't make it, we hope and look forward to having you join us next year.
