Recitals & Concerts

The San Francisco Branch of MTAC sponsors monthly recitals for students of branch members. Recitals feature performers of all levels and ages and are open to the public free of charge. We also offer special recitals featuring MTAC-SF Branch Piano Competition winners and one member of the MTAC Young Artist Guild.

NEW RECITAL APPLICATION PROCEDURE!

  • Please read the recital guidelines on the SF Branch Recital Guidelines page."
  • Submit your student's recital applications ONLINE: After typing your student's recital information, click the SUBMIT button. The website will then give you a confirmation page. The submitted application will be automatically sent to the recital coordinator, Barbara Bannett, who will send you an email confirming that the application has been received. Important: The website only accepts one application at a time, so you must fill out an application and SUBMIT for each student.
  • Pay the recital fees via PayPal OR by check: Fee: $20.00 for Student Recital, $25.00 for Holiday Recital. When you pay via PayPal, your payment will be directly deposited to the MTAC-SF Branch bank account. Notice of your payment will be sent to MTAC-SF treasurer, Keiko Banks, who will send you an email confirming that your payment has been received. To pay by check, Make a check payable to MTAC-SF and mail it to Keiko Banks at 138 18th Ave., San Francisco, CA 94121. Please include the applicants' names with your check payment. DO NOT send the check payment to the recital coordinator.
  • Please time the piece accurately. Total playing time is limited to 7 minutes; 12 minutes for advanced repertoire.
  • The recital programs can be viewed few days before the events at Upcoming Events or Recitals & Concerts.
