The Music Teachers' Association of California "MTAC" is a professional organization of approximately 4,500 members whose mission is: "The promotion of musical culture and the pursuit of excellence in the field of music education" Each of the fifty nine branches maintains its own schedule of programs and activities and participates in state-wide projects and programs. San Francisco Branch is actively involved in these projects.
